8th Vienna Winter Meet-up

On Sunday another Lolita Meet-up took place in Vienna! It was a winter Meet-up but the temperature was already more like spring  (*◕‿◕*)

We took pictures, went to the Prunksaal of the national library where a small exhibition took place and, as always, went for dinner together. It was great to see everybody again

Photo credit goes to Robert Marco Detoyato

That was my outfit:

Beret - eBay // Blouse - Vintage // Skirt - Angelic Pretty // Socks - sockdreams //
// Shoes - an*tai*na // bag - bought at local con //

This time I was really satisfied with my outfit and in retrospective I wouldn't change anything!
I went for an oldschool-vibe. Do you think I succeeded? ^^

Our Linz travel-group. Actually, Punkangel was already in Vienna but she welcomed us a the train station (◡‿◡✿)

It was my first time at the Prunksaal and it is just so beautiful *O*

Summed up, it was a great day and I'm already looking forward to the next Meet-up (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Happymori Phone Case Review

Today I want to do a short review about the phone case I ordered on eBay. (✿◠‿◠)
I ordered it on 7th February and it arrived on 21st February. So the shipping took exactly two weeks.

I bought this super cute case from a brand called Happymori. The eBay seller is called celligirl.
It's hard to find a case for my Samsung Galaxy S2 as it is such an old version so I was very happy to see that they offer it.

In the product picture it looks like you get a typical case for the back for the phone but it actually has a front part!

The back part can't be used alone so you maybe want to consider this before buying.

The phone case came in a cute packaging of which I didn't take photos because I ripped it off as soon as it arrived (^^;)

I haven't used it for too long yet but it seems sturdy and able to protect my phone.

Altogether I'm very happy with my purchase and would by from that eBay seller again!
I recommend searching Happymori on eBay as there is a huge variety of designs available.

P.S. This review wasn't sponsored or anything ^__~

Helsinki Travel Diary - Part 3 - Hellocon Tea Party

In the afternoon of our second day in Helsinki Hellocon Tea Party took place. Compared to Innocent World Tea Party Vienna, the only Tea Party I have been to before, it was more exclusive as the number of guests was more limited.

There was an opening ceremony, after which the special guests designer Yuko Ashizawa and model Midori Fukasawa entered. A ballet performance and the opening of the buffet followed.

The buffet contained six treats for everyone and a variety of tea and juice as well as biscuits and gummy treats. Yumm :3

They also had a raffle ( I sadly didn't win anything ^^) and in the end the special guests picked their favourite outfits among the visitors. I found both chosen outfits great and the choice very justified :)

The best part for most of the Tea Party visitors however was the signing and photo taking with the special guests!

I like my face in both pictures. What a surprise :o

I actually felt a little startled when Midori took my hand *O*
We also had a short smalltalk about my crown. Midori is just so cute

Between the program points there was also some time for taking pictures and chatting with each other.

The location was beautiful and they had this awesome sofas :D
In retrospect, I maybe would do a different hairstyle and I'm also not sure if I would coord the dress with dark brown again but I'm content ^-^

I also seized the chance to take lots of Polaroid pictures!

So all in all it was a good organized event and everyone looked beautiful! I would have wished that it was an hour longer but I also talked a bit with the organizers and I understand that that wasn't possible.

Besides the very last post, which will follow as soon as the pictures are available, the Helsinki travel diary is over. Summed up it was a great and for me somehow very inspirational weekend. It made me want to put more kawaii in my daily life and wear my favorite fashion more often again.
That's why I love traveling, I feel like every journey, no matter how short or long, changes me for the better and gives me new inspiration

Helsinki Travel Diary - Part 2 - Hellocon

So I'm still waiting for the official pictures; apparently the photographers have a lot of retouching work to do ^^; so I thought I show you a bit what happened at Hellocon and show my outfit and stuff in an extra post :)

Hellocon happened on our first day in Helsinki. It started at 10 o'clock in the morning and went until the closing ceremony at half past 5 in the evening. It was my first Lolita Convention and I enjoyed it very much! The dress code wasn't strictly Lolita though so there were also just admirer of Lolita fashion and people in other kawaii clothes.

This was the program outline:

10:00 Doors open

10:30 - 10:45 Opening Ceremony
12:00 - 12:30 Brand vs. Off-brand
13:00 - 13:45 Designers fashion show
14:00 - 14:45 Yuko Ashizawa Q&A
15:00 - 15:30 Fairyforest -fashion show
16:00 - 16:45 Designer Panel Discussion
17:00 - 17:20 Dancing Dolls
17:30 Closing Ceremony

18:00 Doors close

The also offered workshops but I didn't visit any.
I missed the opening ceremony because I was shopping at the flea market but I watched pretty much all of the other program points.

In the brand vs off-brand fashion show they had five categories for which always two girls put together an outfit. One outfit completely in brand and one completely in off-brand. The audience could cheer for their favourite ^-^

My personal highlight was the pirate outfit in the very left corner of my picture. It was the first time that I saw a Lolita with dreadlocks and I never imagined it to work so well :O

Next up was the Designers fashion show in which all the indie designers and the star guests Atelier Pierrot showed their designs.

Dani (aka Duplica ^__~ ) modeled for Lady Sloth!

And the second star guest Midori was on the stage too :3

It was a bit hard catching pictures of the models as they moved so fast but there is a video of the show on youtube! To be honest I let it play in the background sometimes because I like the soundtracks so much ^^''

I don't have pictures of the Q&A as I was listening to it while doing some shopping. At first they asked Yuko some prepared questions and then the audience had a chance to pose there own questions. There also was a Q&A with Midori if I remember right that somehow doesn't show up in the program outline ^^

Anyway, of all the program points the Fairy Forest Fashion Show impressed me most.
It wasn't just a normal fashion show but had a story to it.

^I liked this outfit especially

The beautiful swan impressed the audience with her ballet skills

I highly recommend to watch the video!

Of course I also bought some stuff at Hellocon:

Angelic Pretty skirt and Swimmer bag from the flea market

I also bought a lot of jewelry from Moon Bunny

I don't know why the bunny looks so green it's actually a nice yellow xD

The bracelet is from Moon Bunny but the pin is designed by Midori, it says 'Midori's Tea Party'! :)

All in all it was a really nice event and the Finish Lolitas are also very nice and cute. I hope I can go to Hellocon again some day :)

So I hope you enjoyed this picture heavy report and stay tuned for the next post!

Helsinki Travel Diary - Part 1

I'm back from Helsinki :D I'm still waiting for a few pictures of the Convention and the Tea Party so in this post I will share pictures of the sights we visited and do some general swarming about this lovely weekend

We traveled in a group of six: Dani, Jassi, Punkangel, Katrin, Mara and me. We had so much fun I'm really happy I was part of this group :D (and I secretly hope we travel again as this group some day :3)

The first day was mainly filled with the Convention, but between the Convention and the Afterparty (of which we missed the main part because of restaurant problems xD) we had some time for a night stroll around Helsinki.

Credit for this photo goes to Dani

The Tea Party on the second day started in the afternoon so of course we used the morning for exploring Helsinki a bit more. We visited the main station, Temppeliaukion kirkko and a souvenir shop :D

On the third day we had time until four pm before we had to go back to the airport. We used that time for shopping and going to the tea saloon 'The Ounce' which was my personal highlight of that day :D

Photo credit for this goes to Dani again.

This tea saloon is popular by the Finish Lolitas. I can really see why; it's just so lovely
Kati the Lolita who served us is wearing the fashion to work. She is living every Lolita's dream :D
They also had a guest book and Katrin drew into it for us :D
Mara and I tried the Alice in Wonderland tea which is basically green tea with strawberries. It was so good I had to buy one to take home.

And that's it for the sightseeing part of our journey. I will surely come back to Helsinki in the future :D
Stay tuned for the other parts of my travel diary!
