Goodbye 2014, hello 2015 ~!

Hi my dear readers,
Wow can you believe that 2014 is already as good as over? Like last year I want to review my year and do a little preview for 2015.

My two favourite outfits of the year.

Things from 2014 I want to remember:
  • I got my first Lolita Valentine
  • I went to Helsinki for Hellocon and had such a great time there
  • I made new friends
  • I switched studies and love what I'm doing now
  • I went to Prague and had such a great time there
  • The trip to Prague was also my way to celebrate my 20th birthday
  • I started being active on tumblr and posting my outfits there
  • I came back from my blog hiatus
  • I came back to reading books regularly
  • I started writing diary again
  • Through an uni project I helped creating an exhibition at a small museum
  • I started working part time at a tea shop and I love it
  • Books: Lord of the Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire series,  Perks of being a Wallflower
  • Movies&TV-Shows: Sherlock, GoT, X-Men, I pretty much started watching Marvel movies this year, Third Star, Hobbit, Whispers of the Heart and other Studio Ghibli animes

Things I learned in 2014:
  • I shouldn't base my decisions on what worked for other people
  • It's ok to say no

New Year's Resolutions:
  •  Get back to drawing regularly, I neglected this hobby too much this year :(
  •  Care for myself to get my migraine under control
  • And some more that a personal ^__ ~

Things I'm looking forward to in 2015:
  • Going to Paris for La Vie en Rose event in February
  • Going to Japan in Summer ...omg I can't believe this is real ; ^ ;

And as this is a fashion blog after all..
  • For my Lolita wardrobe a hope I can collect more Sweet-Classic pieces in 2015
  • I want to wear J-fashion, or J-fashion inspired outfits on a daily basis more often

Happy New Year cuties, see you again in 2015!

Lolita Gift Giving

Hello my dear readers,
I hope you had a nice Christmas or holiday time! I know most people are not interested in Christmas stuff anymore right after Christmas but I still wanted to write out this post as I took part in some Lolita gift-giving activities again this year ^.^

Punkangel and I exchanged Advent-calendars again :D the theme for mine was Sweet-Classic Lolita and shabby chic. On the weekdays it was filled with candy ( I ate it all :'D) and on the Sundays there were small gifts.

She gave my (chronological): cute pencils, a small planner for 2015, a compact mirror, a tea-egg looking like a teapot and a cute jar where a found a necklace inside. I love everything, thank you so much <3

On the Austrian Lolitas FB page we also did a Secret Santa again.

I got such amazing things! Thank you Pato!

I also got lovliest things from other friends and family. Here are the one that looked the cutest :3
From my best friend, my brother and my great-aunt.

Did you like your presents this year?

DIY Gingerbread- House

Hi lovelies!
Omg it's only one more days until Christmas Eve! Are you in Christmas mood?
This year December was stressful for me so I couldn't enjoy Advent season as much as a normally do but on Sunday I finally had some time and I took the chance to make a gingerbread house (✿◠‿◠)

It is completely made from scratch. I didn't use any instructions. I even did the measurements and stuff myself. It turned out a bit crooked but that's its personal charm (・ェ-)

The recipe I used:
250g cane sugar
3 tablespoons honey
3 eggs
gingerbread spices
345 g flour
baking soda

The pieces: I drew them on paper and cut them out with a knife. You will need two rectangles with a triangle on top, two rectangles for the sides and two rectangles (in my case squares) for the roof. I also cut out smaller pieces for decoration.

Measurements:

Keep in mind that the gingerbread extends when you bake it in the oven. One of my pieces extended more than the other so I had to cut it a bit in the end (=ω=;)

The icing: Milk + powdered sugar. Just use very few milk and add sugar until the mixture is viscous. A bit like honey.

Putting together and decorating: I don't have any work in progress picture here as it was quite messy work. Just decorate it with any candy you like and make it your own. The whole decorating took me about two hours.

Well and that's it! ヽ(๏∀๏ )ノ
Will you make one?

Lolita Meet-up in Steyr

This weekend the Austrian Lolita Community had the first Lolita Meet-up in Steyr, a beautiful city which attracts tourists especially in the Christmas season as there are many sights that can only be visited around that time.

This was our group. Everybody looked so cute ♥

We went to the Christmas Museum and took a ride on the Erlebnisbahn. After that we had tea time at a super cute café called Fairy Heaven. The owner opened especially for us. So nice!

Impressions from the Christmas museum.

Delicious treats from Fairy Heaven

I tried to do a winter-ish outfit.
Sadly my wig gave me a bad headache that day :(
We took pictures at the Christmas museum and I also took some at home before I left :)

All in all it was a great meet-up with a fun program.
The people at Steyr were a little brash but I guess they are just not used to
people dressing that differently. It was great hanging out with everyone. ♥

Which was your last meet-up?

Winter Lolita Meet-up Linz

On the weekend we had a Lolita Meet-up in Linz again. Punkangel and I organised it but sadly Punkangel got ill in the end T.T

Our little group. Everybody looked so cute ♥

Still it was very nice to meet the other girls again. As a plus I decided to take my best friend with me. She doesn't wear Lolita but Lolita is such a big hobby of mine so I wanted her to get a bit deeper insight on what we acctually do on those meet-ups I talk about so often. She also helped us taking pictures ^.^

We went to the Christkindlmarkt and ate dinner at a restaurant. We did pretty much the same last year, maybe it will become a meet-up tradition? ^.^

I wore  my new Baby the Stars shine bright dress.
The print is Swan Lake / Ballett themed. So cute!
